Safranbolu Houses

The texture of Safranbolu houses and fountains from the 18th century is considered to be an open air museum. In the houses, the first floors are made of stone and the upper floors are made of quality wood. The stone floors carry the upper floors by serving as support walls. The houses are adjacent to the street and the streets are generally narrow, curved with slopes and dead-end streets.
